Freelancer Terms
These terms explain that freelancers use Crewfinder as independent marketplace participants and remain responsible for truthful profiles, direct contracts, payment arrangements, and lawful conduct.
1. Independent freelancer status
Freelancers use Crewfinder as independent marketplace participants. Crewfinder is not your employer, manager, labour broker, payroll provider, or supervisor.
Using Crewfinder does not create employment, agency, partnership, or guaranteed work of any kind between Crewfinder and a freelancer.
2. Profile accuracy and marketplace honesty
Freelancers must keep their profile, skills, work history, qualifications, availability, rates, equipment, and contact details reasonably accurate and up to date.
- Do not claim credits, certifications, licenses, or experience you do not have.
- Do not misrepresent availability, transport, work rights, or readiness for a booking.
- Do not use fake references, false profiles, or misleading portfolio material.
3. Direct contracting and payment
Any hire, booking, shift, project, or assignment arranged through Crewfinder is a direct agreement between the freelancer and the hiring party.
Payment responsibility stays between users. Crewfinder does not guarantee invoices, deposits, fees, wages, reimbursements, or collection of overdue amounts.
4. Freelancer responsibilities
Freelancers are responsible for the quality of their work, their conduct on jobs, their own taxes, lawful business activity, insurance decisions, and compliance with safety and employment-related laws that apply to their work.
- Arrive prepared and communicate promptly about availability changes.
- Follow lawful site rules, safety requirements, and agreed scope on the job.
- Maintain your own records, invoices, tax treatment, and supporting documentation where required.
5. Misrepresentation and misuse
Fraud, impersonation, fake qualifications, booking manipulation, abusive conduct, or other dishonest activity may lead to content removal, suspension, account restriction, or permanent removal from the platform.
